July 2007 -
Cinque Terre, Italy
After a few days catching up with Mum and Dad in the UK, Glen and I headed off with them to the Cinque Terre in Italy. There was a moment of panic when we received a phone call first thing in the morning to say our flight was cancelled but we managed to get another flight and the rest of the journey to Levanto went smoothly. We walked the first day from Levanto to Monterosso, the second from Monterosso to the very picturesque Vernazza, the third day from Vernazza to Corniglia to Manarola and to Riomaggiore and the forth day from Riomaggiore to Portovenere (the most beautiful walk). We skipped our final day of walking in favour of a train ride to Portofino. It was a wonderful, relaxing holiday in the sun and a fantastic way to spend time with Mum and Dad.
