2007 - New York, New York
I just couldn't resist the temptation of cheap flights to New York given it is one of my favourite cities in the world. Glen and I "popped" over for a long weekend. On Friday the weather was miserable but thankfully we were able to console with that favourite of indoor pastimes, shopping... Macy's, Bloomingdales and Tiffanys (to name a few). Saturday we spent at Central Park and more shopping before heading out for fabulous dinner and drinks on the 35th floor of the Mandarin Oriental hotel. Sunday was a real New York day... a helicopter flight, a walk through the Meatpacking District, Chelsea, Grenwich Village and Soho. Sunday night we had a true New Yorker experience, watching the Knicks lose at Madison Square Garden... they only lost by a few points though and it was a very exciting game. Alas, Monday we had to leave but I have no doubt we'll go back.
