June 2008 -
Disneyland Paris, France
Glen and I decided to take Simon to Disneyland for his birthday this year for a weekend of rollercoasters and regressing to childhood. We spent two days at the Disney parks, one in Disneyland and one in Walt Disney Studios. I took my regressing very seriously, insisting on photos with characters and wearing character ears. We went on every ride from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril to the Mad Hatter Tea Cups and had a ball running around like crazy folk. The low lights were definitely the Armaggedon "Special Effects" show and the Motor Action "Stunt" show in Walt Disney Studios but we even found some humour in them at the end of the day (a couple of rides on the rockin' rollercoaster helped put things in perspective). A fun packed and exhausting weekend!
