For my birthday I convinced Mum, Dad and Glen to come on an adventure to Egypt and Jordan with me... and an adventure it was. We started our tour in Egypt where we saw some amazing sites and had some amazing experiences. Highlights included visiting Karnak Temple, Hot air ballooning from Luxor, visiting Abu Simbel, going on a Felucca ride in Aswan and the incredible experience of hiking up Mt Sinai (or Moses Mountain) in time for sunrise. Unfortunately we had some less pleasant experiences as well, the lowlight being a 4-night stint on a Nile cruise boat with severe plumbing issues (I'll spare you the gory details). All in all though a very memorable experience and an interesting country. I would still recommend people see Egypt but be prepared for poverty and filth so many people are living in... and avoid Peregrine tour company!
